We are excited to share an original qìsane recipe that combines the earthy, health-boosting properties of Cordyceps and the delicate aroma of roses, with the nutrient-rich benefits of chicken broth to create a truly warming, nourishing and delicious broth that will also warm you up on a cold day.

 

Cordyceps flowers have been revered for centuries in Chinese traditional medicine for their lung- and kidney-supporting properties while rose essence has been used to regulate the Qi to elevate mood, increase blood flow, and boost overall energy levels.

 

Adding our Cordyceps & Rose tisane makes this recipe perfect for those who love wholesome, nutritious dishes that are as good for the soul as they are for the body. 

 

Let's dive into making our very own Cordyceps and Rose Wholesome Chicken Broth!

Ingredients: Cordyceps and Rose Chicken Broth

 

 

  • 6 Chicken thighs (for broth)
  • 10 cloves of garlic (skin removed)
  • 2 Cordyceps and Rose sachet
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • Cracked black pepper
  • Water, enough to just cover all chicken parts in the pot

Instructions


Step 1: Preparing the Chicken Bones


First things first, let's get our base right. Start with fresh chicken thighs. If you prefer a leaner broth, feel free to remove the meat and skin. Wash the chicken thighs thoroughly to ensure they are clean.

Step 2: Boiling the Chicken Thighs


Place the washed chicken thighs in a large pot of water and bring it to a boil. This initial boil will help remove impurities from the bones.

Step 3: Adding Garlic


Once the water is boiling, add 10 cloves of garlic with the skin removed. The garlic will infuse the broth with its rich, mouth-watering flavor.

Step 5: Introducing a Tisane


Now it’s time to add our star ingredients! Wet the Cordyceps and the Rose sachet under cold water and then add both sachets to the pot. Continue to let the soup simmer on a soft boil for another 30 minutes.


Step 6: Straining the Soup


Once the cooking time is up, carefully remove all the ingredients from the soup. What you want is the flavorful, nourishing broth.


Step 7: Seasoning


Finally, season the broth with salt and cracked black pepper to taste. Stir well to ensure the flavors are well combined.


Step 8: Serve and Enjoy!
